Where is RC Car Entertainment located?
We are at #129 10985 38 St NE, Calgary, Alberta T3N 1Z2, in the Jacksonport industrial area of northeast Calgary. Look for unit 129 — the bay number matters, as the building has several units. Call (368) 210-7200 if you cannot find us.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and closed on Sunday.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Booking ahead is best, because installs are done in bays and a busy day can fill up. You can book online any time, or call (368) 210-7200. We will always take a look if you drop in with a question.
Do you install remote car starters?
Yes. We are an authorised Compustar dealer and fit remote starters year-round at our NE Calgary shop — basic key-fob systems, long-range kits, smartphone-controlled starters, and starters paired with a security system. September is the quiet month for this; once the first hard frost lands the schedule fills quickly.
How much does a remote starter cost?
Reference pricing, installed:
- Basic remote starter — from $410
- Standard range — add $120
- Long range — add $250
- Smartphone control — add $150
- Car security packages — from $499 installed (separate from a starter)
These are starting prices. The final price depends on your specific vehicle, so we confirm it before any work begins.
Will a remote starter work on my vehicle?
Most vehicles can take one, but the module and bypass needed vary a lot between makes and model years. Call us with your year, make and model and we will confirm exactly what fits and what it costs before you book.
Do you install backup cameras?
Yes. Backup camera installation is one of the jobs we do most — wired cleanly into a factory screen where the vehicle supports it, or into a new head unit. We can supply the camera or fit one you already have.
Can you add Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to an older car?
Yes. Depending on the vehicle we can either keep your factory screen and add CarPlay and Android Auto behind it, or fit a new touchscreen head unit. An older car does not mean going without maps, music and calls on a proper screen. See our CarPlay and Android Auto page.
Do you install dash cams and hardwire them?
Yes. We supply and fit FineVu dash cams, single and dual channel, and hardwire them so parking mode works without draining your battery. We will also fit a camera you bought elsewhere.
Can you find an electrical fault or a battery drain?
Yes. We do auto electrical diagnostics and repair — parasitic battery drain, wiring faults, lighting problems and accessories that cut out. See our electrical check page.
Can I bring my own equipment?
Yes. We are happy to fit equipment you already own. Tell us what it is when you book so we can quote the labour correctly and check it suits your vehicle.
What else do you do?
Car audio systems, speakers, amplifiers and subwoofers; interior and exterior decorative lighting; custom vinyl decals and wraps; and car detailing. If you are not sure whether something is in our line, call and ask.
Do you install backup cameras into a factory screen?
Where the vehicle allows it, yes — the camera feeds straight into your existing display, so reverse looks the way the manufacturer intended. If your car has no screen, or the factory one will not take a camera feed, we fit a head unit that handles it. Full detail on our dash cam and backup camera page.
Do you warranty the installation?
Yes. If anything we installed ever fails, bring it back and we will fix it — for as long as you own the vehicle. The equipment itself carries its own manufacturer’s warranty.
