A 12-volt installation shop in northeast Calgary. Everything we fit is wired in behind the trim and tested before you drive away — not taped to the glass and left to rattle loose by February.

Services
These six fill the bay most weeks. If what you’re after isn’t here, it’s probably still something we do — call and ask.

Speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers and head units, sized and powered for the car you actually drive. We fit component and coaxial sets in the common sizes — 6.5, 6×9, 5.25, 6×8 and 5×7 — on adapter rings, so nothing is hacked into the door.
Quoted per vehicle

We’re an authorised Compustar dealer, and we fit Fortin and iDatastart too — onto your vehicle’s own data bus, so the factory security stays intact. Push-to-start and standard key vehicles both work. Some cars need an extra bypass module, and we confirm that for your year and model before you book.
Quoted per vehicle

Dash cam installation done properly: hardwired to a fuse with a voltage cut-off, so parking mode works and the battery still cranks in January. Front only, front and rear, or full 4K dual channel. We fit backup and reverse cameras into factory screens too.
FineVu stocked · any brand fitted

Wireless adapters for factory screens, or a new head unit where the factory system won’t take one. If your car already does wired CarPlay an adapter is a short job. If it has no screen at all it needs a head unit, a dash kit and a harness.
Quoted per vehicle

LED headlight upgrades, interior and ambient lighting, underglow and accent work. Headlight and fog bulb upgrades, footwell and door lighting, and colour-changing kits you control from your phone.
Quoted per vehicle

Check engine and ABS lights, sensors, ECU faults and wiring problems traced properly rather than guessed at. Parasitic battery drains, no-start faults, and aftermarket wiring somebody else left behind. We diagnose before we quote.
Diagnostic first

Featured brand
We stock it because of what doesn’t come back. Dash cams fail here for predictable reasons — summer heat, winter cold, a battery cooking on a dashboard in July — and these have held up better than most of what we’ve fitted. The rest of the argument is the spec.
What we stock
You can buy any of these online. What you can’t buy online is someone wiring it into your car properly, and that’s usually what decides whether it still works in two years.
Sony STARVIS sensor, supercapacitor, 128 GB card and a three-year warranty. The one we fit most.
4K front, 1080p rear
Dual QHD with night vision and AI damage detection. Wi‑Fi to the app.
QHD front and rear
Dual-channel recording in a compact body. A straightforward two-camera setup.
Front and rear
Check the car from your phone while you’re away from it. 64 GB storage.
Cloud connected
Compact, non-LCD, built-in Wi‑Fi and GPS. The sensible starting point.
Front only, QHD
Rotatable single-DIN and universal screens, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
Single-DIN and 9/10 inch

Why it lasts
Good equipment only performs as well as the install behind it.
A camera taped to the glass with a cable to the lighter socket gets unplugged, blocks your view and rattles loose by February. The same camera hardwired into a fuse, tucked behind the trim and set up with a sensible voltage cut-off is still quietly recording in three years.
That’s the part we’re actually selling, and it’s the same job whichever brand you bring us.
Brands
Every major brand, including gear you bought yourself — bring it in and we’ll fit it properly rather than talk you into a different box. Two we go further on: FineVu we stock, and we’re an authorised Compustar dealer.

Sound upgrades
Sound quality comes from the order of the work, not the price of the box. Deaden the door first, mount the speaker on a proper ring, run it clean power, then set the gains. Skip a step and the money you spent on the next one is wasted.
About the shop
We’re on 38 Street NE, and most jobs are done the same day you drop the car off.
RC Car Entertainment is a car audio and 12-volt installation shop in northeast Calgary. We handle car stereo installation, subwoofers and amplifiers, remote starter installation, dashcam installation and backup cameras, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlight upgrades, decorative and ambient lighting, sound upgrades and deadening, and vehicle security systems, and we diagnose the electrical faults other shops would rather not chase.
Most of what we do is installation rather than retail. A speaker set that costs twice as much won’t sound better bolted to bare metal through a door full of open service holes, and a dash camera is only as good as the fuse it’s wired into. That’s where the difference actually gets made, so that’s where the time goes.
If you already own the equipment — bought online, from another shop, or it came with the car — bring it in. We’d rather fit your kit properly than talk you into a different box. And where the honest answer is that a modification isn’t worth doing on your vehicle, we’ll say that too.
Everything is quoted for your specific year, make and model before any work starts, because half of what is possible on a car is decided by the car. See everything we do, browse what we stock, or read the questions we get asked most.
Every cable we run goes behind the trim and into the factory routing. Nothing hangs under the dash, nothing crosses an airbag, and nothing is left to work loose over a Calgary winter.
On a remote starter that means a T-harness into the factory connector rather than cut and taped joins. Pull the system out years later and the car is as it left the factory.
Parking mode on a dash cam, an amplifier under the seat and a remote starter all draw current with the engine off. Each gets a proper supply with a fuse and, where it matters, a voltage cut-off.
Done properly your camera keeps watching in a parking lot and the car still cranks in the morning. Done badly is why people believe dash cams kill batteries.
Deadening before speakers. Diagnosis before parts. Vehicle check before a quote. Doing these in the wrong sequence is how people pay twice and still aren’t happy with the result.
It’s also why we ask for your year, make and model in the first sentence, rather than quoting a generic price and revising it once the car is on the ramp.
How a job goes
Here’s what actually happens when you book, start to finish.
01
Year, make and model. Half of what is possible is decided by the vehicle, so we start there.
02
Not a generic number. Some cars need an extra module or a bypass, and you hear that before you book.
03
Wiring run behind the trim, connections made properly, nothing left hanging under the dash.
04
We walk you through it once before you leave, so you’re not reading a manual in the parking lot.
Remote starters
Calgary winters are why most people call us. As an authorised Compustar dealer we fit genuine, warrantied systems, and we work with Fortin and iDatastart as well — all onto the vehicle’s own data bus, so nothing gets spliced that shouldn’t be.
Range and phone control are separate choices — add either now, or later.
Every car is priced on its own. We confirm the final figure for your vehicle before we start — never after.

I recently had a Thinkware U3000 dash cam installed here, and the experience was top-notch. The owner was incredibly efficient and completed the installation very quickly. Not only was the workmanship neat and professional, but he also took the time to clearly explain how the dash cam operates before I left. Highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a reliable install!Posted on Google![]()
