This notice explains what personal information RC Car Entertainment collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to our website, our online booking page and to contacting us by phone, text or email.

What Personal Information We Collect From You

• Contact details — your name, phone number and email address.
• Vehicle details — the year, make and model of your vehicle, and any details you give us about the work you want.
• Appointment details — the service you booked and the date and time.
• Messages — the content of calls, texts and emails between you and the shop.

We do not collect or store your payment card details on our website. Payment is taken in the shop.

Why We Collect Your Information And Data

• To book, prepare for and carry out the work on your vehicle.
• To contact you about your appointment, including reminders and letting you know the car is ready.
• To process a manufacturer warranty claim on your behalf when one applies.
• To keep a record of work done on your vehicle, which matters for our lifetime installation warranty.

Who We Share Your Personal Information With

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers we use to run the shop, and only as far as they need it:

• Our calendar and email provider, to schedule appointments and contact you.
• Our phone and text messaging provider, to take calls and send you messages.
• The product manufacturer, when we are processing a warranty claim for you.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How Long We Keep Your Information On File

We keep appointment and work records for as long as they are useful to you and to us — in particular because our installation warranty lasts as long as you own the vehicle, and we need the record to honour it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your Choices To Access Or Control Your Data

You can ask us to stop sending you messages that are not about a booking. You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will deal with it.

Website Tracking, Cookies And Online Privacy

Our website uses cookies to keep the site working and to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

Services we use on the website

Parts of our website and our booking process are run for us by other companies. The categories we use are:

• Spam and form protection. Services such as Google reCAPTCHA process technical information about your browser and how a form was submitted, so we can tell genuine enquiries from automated abuse.
• Review display. A service displays our public Google reviews on the site. It shows reviews that are already public — we do not send it your enquiry details.
• Online booking. Information you enter on our booking page is processed through the service we use to run that booking system.
• Chat and messaging. If you start a chat from the website, the conversation continues in the messaging app you choose, under that app’s own terms.
• Website hosting and infrastructure. The providers that host the site and keep it running.

Where our website links out to other sites, including our own listings on Amazon, those sites are run by others and handle your information under their own policies.

Your Privacy Rights Under Alberta Law

We handle personal information in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first — we would rather put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
