How returns, refunds and warranty claims work on products bought from the shop.

This policy covers products bought from RC Car Entertainment at our shop at #129 10985 38 St NE, Calgary AB T3N 1Z2, and products we supply as part of an installation.
We are the seller of the products listed under our own Amazon listings. If you bought the product from us through Amazon rather than directly at the shop, the order was placed in Amazon’s marketplace, and a return or refund for it should normally be started through the Amazon order process that applies to that purchase. Manufacturer warranty applies separately either way, and you are welcome to bring the product to the shop so we can diagnose it.
If you have bought a product from us and it has not been installed, you can return it within 30 days of purchase for a refund or exchange, provided it is unused and in resalable condition, in its original packaging with all accessories and manuals, and accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase.
Once a product has been fitted to your vehicle we cannot accept it back as a return, because the installation labour and any vehicle-specific parts have already been used. Installed products are still covered by the manufacturer warranty, and our workmanship is covered by our lifetime warranty on the installation.
Installation work that has already been carried out is not a product return, so completed labour is not refunded in the way an unused product is. If there is a problem with the work itself, the remedy is our installation warranty: bring the vehicle back, we will inspect it, and where the fault is ours we will put it right at no charge. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
If a product develops a fault, bring it back to us. We will diagnose it and, where the fault is covered, process the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf. Warranty length and terms are set by the manufacturer and vary by product. If the problem turns out to be our installation rather than the product, we will put it right at no charge.
Items ordered in specifically for you, and anything custom-made or custom-cut such as vinyl decals, cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
We will fit equipment you supplied yourself once we have checked that it suits your vehicle, though some things can only be confirmed with the vehicle in front of us. The product return provisions above apply to products we sold you. They do not apply to equipment bought elsewhere: the product warranty for that stays with its manufacturer or the seller you bought it from. Our installation warranty still covers the work we carry out. If supplied equipment turns out to be defective, incorrect or incompatible, or has to be removed and refitted, the additional labour may be chargeable.

Approved refunds are issued to the original method of payment. Please allow a few business days for the funds to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Alberta consumer protection law.
